Upcoming Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA) Workshop
The Metropolitan Council will be hosting an upcoming in-person workshop designed to support staff in cities who are recipients of Local Affordable Housing Aid (LAHA) to explore ways to utilize funds to meet local housing needs, as well as an opportunity to connect with peers to discuss challenges and opportunities for employing funds.
The workshop will have presentations from Minnesota Housing, Metro Cities, and the Metropolitan Council on resources, support, and funding opportunities for cities planning to utilize LAHA. There will also be a panel of city staff who will share their experiences and programs utilizing LAHA funds.
Below are more details on the workshop and where to register. Space is limited, so plan to only send one staff member from your city if possible. A waitlist will be created if capacity is reached.

When: Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 from 10:30 am to noon.
Location: Mississippi Gateway Regional Park Visitor Center, Heron Room.
