IIJA Funding Update
Last week, a state-wide Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) call was held with a focus on transportation funding and best practices for local governments competing for federal grants. See below for presentation slides from that call.
This week, Metro Cities, along with other organizations, signed a letter to the Governor and legislative leaders to support legislation that would allow Minnesota to access matching funds and compete for federal grants.

2023 Senate Committee Assignments
Committee assignments for the MN Senate were released this week, and can be viewed HERE. House committee assignments were released last week and published in Metro Cities’ 12/16 newsletter. Metro Cities expects that commissioner appointments will be announced soon and will publish this information as it becomes available. The legislative session begins at noon on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
