Legislative Policy Development Update

Metro Cities four standing legislative policy committees recently completed their work to recommend 2022 policies. These policies will be transmitted to the Board of Directors for consideration at their October meeting, and from there will be forwarded to Metro Cities’ membership for final adoption.

Metro Cities holds its annual legislative policy adoption meeting in coordination with the League of Minnesota Cities’ fall meetings. This year, the policy adoption meeting will be held virtually. Stay tuned for further details.

 

COVID-19 Resources

Metro Cities created a COVID-19 resources page for cities on the website in 2020. The page includes information and resources from state, federal, regional and local entities addressing COVID-19 funding, local operations, housing, public health, business assistance and other considerations. The page is updated to reflect current available information and resources for local officials. Your feedback and suggestions for the page are welcome and can be addressed to [email protected]

The October 31 reporting deadline for federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds is approaching. Metro Cities will provide an update on requirements for this reporting deadline early next week.
