Legislative Session Update
After taking up and passing the last of the omnibus budget as well as the tax bill, the House adjourned sine die early this morning, July 1st. The Senate did not adjourn sine die, and instead adjourned until Friday, July 2nd. The tax bills were the last bills to be passed by both bodies this morning. Metro Cities will provide a comprehensive special session legislative update via the newsletter early next week.
2021 Metro Cities Policy Committees Begin This Month
As a reminder, Metro Cities is preparing for 2021 policy committees and your participation is encouraged! Committees will recommend legislative policies for 2022 and are open for participation by member city elected officials and staff. Committees and dates are on our website. Additional information, including remote meeting access, will be posted as it becomes available. Please be sure to sign up for the committee(s) you wish to attend. This will help us keep our rosters current and accurate. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
